1961 Velocette Venom 500 Classic Vintage British in Huntington Beach, CA

Very nice 1961 Velocette Venom 500. The serial numbers indicate this is a 1961 model but the California title states 1967.Starts easily, great sounding, great running, smooth shifting, super fun and sure riding and great looking bike. Very strong bike and has a great sound from the fishtail exhaust. It is not completely oiltight, but is better than my last one. Just enough to want to put some newspaper under it in the garage. They all drip some.Everything is not new. The paint on the main frame, swingarm, fork legs, tank, swingarm and some smaller parts is original and is not shiny like the powder coated chain guard, toolbox, primary cover parts, engine brackets and other small parts. Still has the Velocette "lady" decal on the frame headstock. The covers on the rear shocks show age. The speedometer face is a bit faded but is a nice working Chronometric speedo. There is also a very small ding in the front mudgaurd, top and almost center.
